Sir,

With reference to your Report of the 29th ultimo (304165), I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to inform you

(1) that, as regards the year ending 10th October 1909, Hong Kong will receive the sums specified therein

viz.: -

(a) Imperial Postal Contribution to Hong Kong Government £710;

(b) Imperial Postal Contribution personal to the Postmaster General of Hong Kong - £100;

(c) the amount of the ascertained deficit on the maintenance of the Tientsin Agency, to be paid as to one half by the Imperial Post Office and as to the other by the Municipality.

(ii) that the question of the adjustment to be made for the period between 10th October 1909 and 31st December

1910 may remain in abeyance for the moment:

(iii) that the Colonial Office are being requested to instruct the Hong Kong Government that, as from lat January 1911, all Agency receipts are to be regarded as Imperial Post Office receipts and all Agency expenditure
